Tobey Maguire to play Spider-Man again? The director of Doctor Strange 2 is very interested

Sam Raimi, director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, hinted that Tobey Maguire might return to play Spider-Man again following his appearance in Spider-Man 3: No Homecoming, but sadly, there are no plans at this time.

Previous IGN surveys have shown that fans' favorite Spider-Man is still Tobey Maguire's version

In an interview with foreign media Fandango, he said: "After making "Doctor Strange 2", I began to realize that anything is possible, anything in the Marvel Universe, any team-up is possible. I like Toby, I like Ken Dunst, I think everything is possible."

So will Tobey Maguire return in the future? It seems there are no plans at the moment.

"I don't have a story or a plan for it right now. I don't know if Marvel is interested in it. I don't know what they think. I haven't looked into it yet. But it sounds wonderful. Even if it's not a Spider-Man movie, I would love to work with Toby again, albeit in a different role."

In the recent "Spider-Man 3", Tobey Maguire, the first actor to play Spider-Man, and Garfield, the actor from "The Amazing Spider-Man", returned, bringing the classic "three spiders in the same frame".

Whether or not Tobey Maguire returns remains to be seen, but considering the overwhelming fan reaction to the Spider-Man team-up, perhaps there's room for a more adult version of Peter Parker.
