AMC announced on Twitter: "Here are 12 wonderful ideas and we wish the entire cast and crew a happy wrap day." The series has a total of 11 seasons, 12 years of broadcasting, and a total of 177 episodes.

The final season of The Walking Dead premiered in August 2021. It consists of 24 episodes, divided into three parts of 8 episodes each. The second part will be aired on April 10, and the last 8 episodes will be aired later.

The production of the final season of The Walking Dead was delayed due to an injury to Norman Reedus during filming. After recovering, Reedus was also very emotional and expressed his true feelings on the wrap day of The Walking Dead, and posted a message on social media to thank the cast and crew.
