Simu Liu joins sci-fi thriller Hello Stranger: Robot's Love

According to foreign media Collider, Simu Liu has joined the sci-fi thriller "Hello Stranger". It is not clear what role Simu Liu will play. The cast of the film also includes Sam Worthington, Jordana Brewster, Robbie Amell, and Alicia Sands.

"Hello Stranger" tells the story of a woman named Faye who tries to replace her husband Evan with a simulated robot after his death. Although this robot is very similar to human Evan in every aspect, Faye cannot feel the same love. The robot Evan tries to win back Faye's heart, while he is being hunted by a government agent because these robots are gradually becoming self-aware and may pose a potential threat to humans.

Hello Stranger is directed by April Mullen and written by Ryan Christopher Churchill, and is currently filming in Toronto.
