Today, the State Administration of Radio and Television issued a notice announcing that the two-month special campaign to regulate short videos has achieved real results.

In order to ensure that the people can obtain healthy and beneficial spiritual content through short videos and stay away from illegal and harmful spiritual dregs, the State Administration of Radio and Television has continued to supervise more than 10 short video platforms with large user scale and high frequency of application software use, such as Douyin and Kuaishou, since October last year, and carried out a two-month special governance of short video programs and accounts, and continuously cleaned up 383,900 illegal accounts and 1,024,000 illegal short video programs.

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television stated that a large number of "pseudo-positive energy" programs, accounts that profit from "Internet celebrity children", and "low-level red, high-level black" content have been cleaned up, the problem of illegally disseminating unintroduced foreign audio-visual programs has been effectively curbed, and the development of short video business on Internet TV has been regulated and guided.
