CW TV will shoot a live-action drama "Gotham Knights" instead of a game adaptation

The CW TV station in the United States has broadcast many live-action series under DC Comics, including multiple spin-off series of the "CW Arrowverse" centered on "Green Arrow" and "The Flash". Currently, the TV station is trying to find more comic adaptations. According to "The Hollywood Reporter", the new series is called "Gotham Knights" and will be written by three "Batwoman" screenwriters.

Batwoman writers Natalie Abarams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux are creating the Gotham Knights TV series. A synopsis for the series has been released, and it hints at what's to come:

"After Bruce Wayne is killed, his rebellious adopted son forms a strange alliance with the children of Batman's enemies as they are all framed for Batman's murder. As the city's most wanted criminals, this uncoordinated group of 'traitors' must work hard to clear their names. But without the Dark Knight's protection, Gotham City has fallen into the most dangerous situation it has ever faced. However, hope often comes from unexpected places, as this makeshift fugitive alliance will become its next generation of saviors."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV series is not a spin-off of Batwoman, nor is it an adaptation of the Gotham Knights game of the same name being developed by Warner Bros. Games. The game also takes place after Batman's death, but the team will be made up of the Bat-Family.

In addition to the announced plot summary, other details of the new series have not yet been announced. For example, it is not known which of Batman's adopted sons - Dick Gleason, Jason Todd, Tim Drake or his biological son Damian Wayne - will be the team leader of the new series, and it is not yet mentioned which villains' children will appear in the new series.
