The new TV animation of "Spice and Wolf" officially announced the second season of production and released a new visual image

The light novel "Spice and Wolf" written by Japanese writer Hasekura Tosa and illustrated by Bunkura Ju was originally published by Dengeki Bunko in February 2006. It won the silver medal at the 12th Click Novel Award. The animated adaptation of the same name also aired two seasons in 2008 and 2009.

In 2022, Passione announced that it will re-make the adapted animation "Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF" and it will be broadcast in April 2024. Its plots correspond to the stories of the first volume of the original work "The Beginning of a New Journey", the second volume "The Shepherdess", the third volume "The Duel with the Young Fishmonger" and the fourth chapter "The Legend of the Pagan Gods".

Recently, the official announced that the second season of "Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF" has been confirmed for production, and released a new key visual image, but the specific screening time has not yet been announced.

It is understood that the general director of the second season is Takahashi's husband, the director is Sanping Sheng, and the character design is done by Haneda Koji. The voice actors continue the old animation lineup, with Fukuyama Jun playing Claver Lawrence and Koshimizu Ami playing Holo.
