The manga "Underground Ninja" created by Hanazawa Kengo was first serialized in the 34th issue of "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2018, and the manga has been released to volume 13. The anime adaptation of the same name also aired in October 2023 with 12 episodes, produced by Tezuka Production.

Recently, the official released a promotional trailer for the live-action adaptation of "Underground Ninja", and announced that the film will be released first in Japan on January 24, 2025.

It is understood that the film version will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda, the director of works such as "Yoshihiko the Brave and the Castle of the Demon King", "I'm a Big Brother", and "Gintama" live-action movies, and Kento Yamazaki and Minami Hamabe will be the starring actors.

The original story of "Underground Ninja" tells the story of the ninja protagonist Kumogakure Kuro in modern society, who is the lowest-ranking ninja. After a long period of unemployment, he takes on the task of infiltrating Kodan High School. However, in addition to his own "NIN" organization, there is another hostile ninja organization "UN", so a more complicated ninja secret unfolds.
