"Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash" is adapted from the 1989 novel of the same name by Tomino Yoshiyuki and produced by SUNRISE. The first part was originally scheduled to be released on July 23, 2020, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in Japan, it has been announced that it will be postponed to May 21, 2021.

This film tells the story of the year UC105, 12 years after the end of the Second Neo Zeon War.
