The new version of "Journey to the West" animation has 104 episodes and the four masters and apprentices are unveiled in new images

Recently, at the "National Comics Power, Drawing the Future Together" 2024 CCTV Animation Innovation Project Conference, the images of the four masters and apprentices in the new version of "Journey to the West" made their debut. The animation has a total of 104 episodes (co-created by China International Television Corporation and iQiyi) and will be broadcast on China Central Radio and Television.

The new version of "Journey to the West" is rooted in traditional Chinese culture, integrating elements of Chinese clay sculpture, opera, and other elements. It also uses artificial intelligence technology for the first time in the design, combining the hand-drawing of the creators with AI simulation.

Journey to the West is a well-known Chinese literary work that depicts a world of gods and demons and the image of the Monkey King. Sun Wukong has become an idol for most people in their youth, and the theme of Journey to the West has been adapted into many versions of the story.
