IGN gives Batwoman Season 2 premiere 6 points: New lead actress has a promising future

The second season of "Batwoman", starring black actress Javicia Leslie, premiered on January 17th local time. IGN gave the first episode of "Batwoman" a score of 6. IGN said that the first episode was okay. The performance of the first episode of "Batwoman" Season 2 has adjusted from the departure of Ruby Rose, the leading actress of the first season, which is also what the audience wants to see.

IGN rating: 6 points OK

The first episode of Batwoman Season 2 has adjusted from the departure of Ruby Rose, the star of Season 1, and that's what viewers wanted to see.

IGN's overall review:

Without Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, Batwoman Season 2 doesn't have the ideal direction to go, especially since Season 1 didn't quite have a proper ending. Still, Season 2's first episode does a great job of showing Kate Kane's life afterward. New lead Javicia Leslie's debut is promising, and Kate's mysterious disappearance is clearly the best story to tell with Alice. Batwoman Season 2 needs to figure out how to better juggle the show's entire cast, and that means the show needs to let go of some of its old ways to make more room for a new Batwoman.
