The box office has exceeded 13 billion! "Nezha 2" was released in Hong Kong: more than 500 screenings were scheduled in Hong Kong

"Nezha: The Devil Boy Conquers the Dragon King" was officially released in Hong Kong, China recently. Friends in Hong Kong can now watch this popular "national cartoon" without having to go to Shenzhen.

According to media reports, more than 500 screenings were scheduled across Hong Kong on the first day of the film's release, including the Emperor Cinemas at iSQUARE in Tsim Sha Tsui, the MCL at K11 Art House and the Broadway Cinema at MY CINEMA YOHO MALL, all of which temporarily added IMAX screenings.

Even several large shopping malls have launched promotions, where customers who spend HK$1,000 or more in the mall after a designated date can redeem two movie tickets for "Nezha 2."

It is reported that the total box office (including pre-sales) of "Nezha 2" has exceeded 13 billion yuan.

So far, "Nezha 2" has become the global box office champion of animated films, surpassing the original number one "Inside Out 2", which has a global cumulative box office of 12.319 billion yuan.

In addition, "Nezha 2" ranks eighth on the global box office history list, only 1.1 billion yuan away from the seventh "Spider-Man: No Return". It can be said that there is no suspense in surpassing the latter.

According to the Lighthouse Professional Edition, "Nezha" has broken more than 35 film history records, including the record of cumulative attendance in Chinese film history, the record of cumulative box office in Chinese film history, the record of cumulative box office of Spring Festival films in Chinese film history, and the record of box office on the first day of animated films in Chinese film history.

"Nezha: The Devil Boy Conquers the Dragon King" was written and directed by Jiaozi, with Lv Yanting, Jonsensef, Han Mo, Chen Hao and Luqi as the main voice actors. It will be released in mainland China on January 29, 2025.
