The TV animation "The Irregular at Magic High School" is adapted from the light novel of the same name by Tsutomu Sadoma. The story takes place in Japan at the end of the 21st century. Magic is not a legend, but a technology of modern science. The First Affiliated High School of the National Magic University, commonly known as the "Magic High School", is composed of "first-division students" with excellent grades and "second-division students" who serve as substitutes for first-division students.
