Donnie Yen's game adaptation movie "Sleeping Dogs" will start filming

Today (July 5), Hong Kong's famous action star Donnie Yen posted on Weibo: "Starting to prepare for the next challenge!", and also added the tag #Sleeping Dogs#. Does this mean that the previously rumored game-adapted movie "Sleeping Dogs" is about to start filming?

In early 2018, Donnie Yen posted on Instagram that he would star in the film adaptation of Sleeping Dogs. From the pictures at the time, Donnie Yen and the male lead Shen Wei were very similar. Many of Shen Wei's fighting moves in Sleeping Dogs are similar to those in Donnie Yen's other films. In Donnie Yen's words, "It's like tailor-made, exactly the same."

It is rumored that the movie "Sleeping Dogs" will be produced by Neil Moritz, and the "Original Films Company" which has produced TV series and movies such as "xXx", "Bruce Almighty" and "Prison Break", and DJ2 Entertainment production company will be responsible for the production of the film.
