The TV series ratings rankings for the first quarter are released, with "An Jia" ranking the highest

Recently, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television released the "China Audiovisual Big Data" ratings data for the first quarter of 2020. From January to March this year, it was a critical period for Chinese people to stay at home and fight against the new crown pneumonia together. At the same time, the TV ratings have increased significantly.

According to statistics from China Audiovisual Big Data (CVB), the average daily viewing time of cable TV and IPTV users nationwide increased by 22.7% in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, and the average daily viewing time per household increased by half an hour. During this period, the ratings of 8 evening parties, 24 variety shows, 15 prime-time TV series, and 15 documentaries with 121 episodes exceeded 1%.

In comparison, the ratings for TV dramas are particularly impressive. In the first quarter, prime-time TV dramas had diverse themes and many hits. In the ratings rankings, there were 28 TV dramas with a ratings of over 0.5%, which were basically divided among CCTV, as well as first-tier satellite TV stations such as Beijing Satellite TV, Dragon TV, Hunan Satellite TV, Jiangsu Satellite TV, and Zhejiang Satellite TV.

Among them, "Home" involves social livelihood topics such as house buying and selling. As the plot progresses, it continues to break ratings records, and the finale has a comprehensive ratings of over 4%. The number of Weibo readings on the topic of "Home" exceeded 13.11 billion times, and the number of discussions exceeded 3.909 million times. During the broadcast, it was on the Weibo hot search list 136 times, becoming a prime-time drama with high topic discussion. The average ratings of a single episode were fixed at 3.2%, winning the championship of this season.

It is worth mentioning that among the top five dramas in terms of ratings, except for "Melody of Endeavor" broadcast on CCTV-1, the other four dramas are broadcast by Beijing Satellite TV and Dragon TV, namely "An Jia", "If Time Can Turn Back", "New World" and "Elite Lawyer".
