"Persona 5" stage play announced to be officially performed in Tokyo and Osaka in December

Today (July 10), ATLUS officially announced that its popular game "Persona 5" will launch a stage play adaptation, which is expected to officially start in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan in December this year. The male protagonist "Joker Amamiya Ren" will be played by actor Hiroki Ino.

Persona 5 is a role-playing game produced and published by Atlus. The story is set in contemporary Tokyo. A series of bizarre accidents suddenly occurred in the city. The perpetrators went crazy for no reason, causing many deaths and property damage. Players play a group of mysterious young thieves who call themselves "The Phantom Thieves of Hearts". With the purpose of "making corrupt adults change their ways", they initiate many theft cases. People whose "hearts were stolen" suddenly admit their crimes. In the process of committing crimes, they also fight desperately with the dark forces behind the scenes that distort people's hearts and social justice.
