He said that he is of course willing to star in the sequel, but he has not heard any news yet. He also said, "Alita belongs to Fox, but Fox no longer exists. Now it is Disney, maybe it doesn't fit the Disney style. But I'm not sure. Maybe they are doing something and I won't be the first person to receive the news."

"Alita: Battle Angel" was released in China on February 22, 2019. Whether there will be a sequel remains to be confirmed.
