The release of "The Captain" and "The Climbers" will be postponed to the end of November

Today (October 23), China Film Distribution Company confirmed that the keys for all versions of two recent hit domestic films, "The Captain" and "The Climbers", will be extended for one month and will be screened until November 29 and November 30 respectively.

"The Climbers" is a drama adventure film starring Wu Jing, Zhang Ziyi, Zhang Yi, Jing Boran, Hu Ge, etc. It tells the story of Wang Fuzhou, Gongbu, and Qu Yinhua, three members of the Chinese mountaineering team, who completed the first Chinese climb to the summit of Mount Everest in 1960. As a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the film was officially released on September 30.

The film "The Captain" is based on the true story of the Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8633 crew successfully handling a special situation on May 14, 2018. When the crew was performing the flight mission, they suddenly encountered an extremely rare dangerous situation at an altitude of 10,000 meters, where the cockpit windshield glass burst and fell off, and the cabin was depressurized. At the critical moment of life and death, the correct handling of the heroic crew ensured the safety of all the people on board, creating a miracle in the history of world civil aviation. The film will also be officially released on September 30.
