Popular Chinese TV series The Untamed to be broadcast on Netflix

Netflix has acquired the streaming rights for the popular Chinese drama "The Untamed" in multiple regions. Starting next Friday (October 25), it will be broadcast on Netflix in North America and Europe. It is reported that this is the second time that "The Untamed" will be broadcast overseas after being broadcast in South Korea and Japan.

The Untamed is a costume fantasy drama directed by Zheng Weiwen and Chen Jialin, starring Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Meng Ziyi, Xuan Lu, Wang Zhuocheng, Yu Bin, and Liu Haikuan, with special appearances by Li Ruotong, Lu Jianmin, Huang Ziteng, and Xiu Qing. It was broadcast on Tencent Video on June 27, 2019.

The drama is adapted from the novel "The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It is set against the background of the five major families and tells the story of Wei Wuxian, the son of an old friend of the Yunmeng Jiang family, and Lan Wangji, the Lord of Hanguang of the Gusu Lan family, who meet again and work together to explore the truth of the past and protect the peace and happiness of the people.
