The second episode of Katsura Masakazu's masterpiece "Movie Girl" will be aired in April, with new characters appearing

The second live-action TV series adapted from the classic work "Video Girl" by the famous Japanese cartoonist Katsura Masakazu is called "VIDEO GIRL MAI 2019" and will be broadcast in April. The heroine Kamio MAI will be played by Yamashita Mizuki from Nogizaka46, and the hero Yeno Kento will be played by Hagiwara Rikyu.

"VIDEO GIRL MAI 2019" tells the story of an ordinary high school sophomore student Kento Yeno who meets a magical girl Kamio MAI one day and falls in love with this girl who can be called a "witch". His life is no longer dull from then on.

"Movie Girls" is a love comedy boy manga drawn by Japanese cartoonist Katsura Masakazu. It has science fiction elements and a lot of blushing scenes. It tells how girls who come out of the TV solve the love troubles of the male protagonists. The story was later adapted into animation and other media forms.

"VIDEO GIRL MAI 2019" is scheduled to be broadcast on the midnight slot of Tokyo's "Thursday Drama 25" from April 11th. The heroine Kamio MAI will be played by Mizuki Yamashita from Nogizaka46, and the hero Kento Yeno will be played by Rikyu Hagiwara. Stay tuned.
