The movie "Return to Silent Hill" is adapted from "Silent Hill 2" and is still in early production

At the Silent Hill series live event this morning, Konami announced that a new series of films, Return to Silent Hill, is in production, directed by the original Silent Hill film director Christophe Gans.

Christophe Gans said: "This return is me returning to a world, a universe that I touched upon in 2006, 15 years ago. The film was a huge success and we decided to return to the best parts of those stories."

Return to Silent Hill will somewhat adapt the main story of Silent Hill 2, which has become one of the most acclaimed and beloved horror games. The movie will revolve around a young man who returns to Silent Hill, and as Gans said, "he has experienced a great love."

According to Gans, the first Silent Hill movie was more about exploring a world seemingly trapped in a fog, while the second film is more focused on observing the newly created strange world.

Konami has not yet announced a release date for Return to Silent Hill, which is still in the early stages of production.
