Spielberg confirmed to produce sequel to Ready Player One

According to foreign media Showbiz411, the sequel to the movie "Ready Player One", "Ready Player Two", has been confirmed to be produced. Spielberg, the director of "Ready Player One", will at least serve as the producer of the film, but the filming of the film will not begin until at least 2025.

Ready Player Two is a science fiction novel written by American writer Ernest Cline. It is the sequel to Ready Player One published in 2011 and was published in 2020. Although Ernest Cline announced in 2015 that he would release a sequel, he did not start writing until the end of 2017.
