Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 Designs Reveal New Characters

On March 10, Nintendo officially confirmed that it would cooperate with Illumination Entertainment on the second Mario movie, and today, the design drawings of the film were obtained. One of the pictures shows that Princess Daisy has been added.

The designs come from the film's story artist, Jed Diffenderfer. There are eight images in total showing different aspects and possible cuts. Daisy plays a major role here, appearing in the final battle scene, and there's also a mushroom-head riding a blue Yoshi that looks like something from Super Mario World.

The exposure of these concept arts has brought new expectations and speculations to fans. As an important supporting character in the Mario series, Daisy may play an important role in the movie and go on adventures with Mario and other characters. At the same time, the appearance of Blue Yoshi also makes people think that the movie may involve elements of Super Mario World.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is expected to be released in 2026.
