The first trailer of "X-Men: New Mutants", the first spin-off film in Marvel's "X-Men" series, has been released. The trailer is different from previous superhero blockbusters in style, with a stronger horror atmosphere and many scenes paying tribute to classic horror movies. The trailer begins with three voiceover questions: "Have you ever hurt anyone?" "Have you ever experienced anything abnormal?" "Do you know what a mutant is?" The little girl sitting on the test instrument is questioned continuously. The cemetery scene is interspersed during the filming, laying the foundation for the dark and terrifying style. Then, a group of new mutants with different superpowers appeared one after another, including Mysterio played by Anya Taylor-Joy, Moonstar played by Blue Hunter, Wolfsbane played by Maisie Williams, Cannon played by Charlie Heaton, and Sunspot played by Henry Zager. They encountered a series of terrifying things. Alice Braga plays Dr. Cecilia, who is also in the trailer. The hospital where the new mutants are located has been transformed into a secret facility, which is more like a haunted house for these mutants. It is worth mentioning that from the trailer, there are many shots that pay tribute to classic horror films, including Hitchcock's "Psycho" (bathroom scene), Kubrick's "The Shining", etc. In "X-Men: New Mutants", these five new mutants are locked up in this hospital. They need to get rid of the sins of the past and save themselves. The mutants we will see are all students of Professor X and Magneto, and their abilities are quite special. But in the comics, "New Mutants" is relatively unpopular. The style of the movie "The New Mutants" is very different from Marvel's previous funny and humorous style. What's more noteworthy is that the director of such a gloomy superhero blockbuster, Josh Boone, once directed the romantic love movie "The Fault in Our Stars". It is a big change for both parties. It is reported that "X-Men: New Mutants" will be released in North America on April 13, 2018.
