In the director's mind, it is the audience who decides when a series ends, and since the demand is still there, if it makes sense for the studio and the fans, "it is appropriate to at least consider another one."

The story of the previous work "Bad Boys 3" still takes place in Miami. Detective Mike and his old partner Marcus have gained weight, but the two still work together to perform tasks, bickering and having fun.
