Dune movie to be re-released in mainland China on March 1

Dune 2 will be released in China on March 8. If you haven't seen the previous film, now is your chance to buy a ticket. Dune will be re-released in mainland China on March 1, exactly one week before Dune 2 is released, only in special theaters such as IMAX and Cinity.

Dune is a 2021 American space epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, with a script written by Eric Roth, Joe Spaihts and the director himself. The plot is adapted from the first half of Frank Herbert's 1965 English science fiction novel of the same name, Dune. It is the first of two film adaptations; it tells the story of a young heir from an aristocratic family who shoulders the most precious asset and the most important element in guarding the galaxy. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Bautista, Stephen Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Shannon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem.

Dune was released by Warner Bros. Pictures and premiered at the 78th Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2021. It premiered in the United States on October 22, including IMAX and 3D versions, and was broadcast on the streaming platform HBO Max for one month. It was well received for its visual effects, world view and ambition, and grossed $396 million worldwide with a production budget of $165 million. It was selected as one of the top ten films of 2021 by the National Board of Review, as well as one of the top ten films of the year by the American Film Institute, and won six awards at the 94th Academy Awards.
