McDonald's Japan releases Godzilla vs. McDonald's movie short

Recently, the black-and-white version of Godzilla 1.0, Godzilla 1.0/C, was announced to be released in Japan on January 12 next year. Perhaps out of love for Godzilla, or perhaps to take advantage of the popularity of Godzilla, McDonald's Japan recently released a short film of Godzilla vs. McDonald's on its official Twitter account.

In the short film, the giant mutant monster Godzilla visits Japan again, but its purpose this time seems to be different. It just wants to try a McDonald's burger.

Considering that the total global box office revenue of "Godzilla - 1.0" has exceeded 50 billion yen, becoming one of the most profitable animated films in Japanese film history, it is understandable that McDonald's Japan is striking while the iron is hot to launch a Godzilla collaboration.

The collaboration will include three burgers and will be officially launched on January 5, 2024.
