Among them, the anti-fraud movie "All or Nothing" continued to gain popularity, with a cumulative box office of over 2.7 billion yuan in 13 days. Currently, the film has entered the top 20 of the domestic film box office list in Chinese film history.

In addition, as of 19:21 on August 17, the total box office of the 2023 summer season exceeded 17.778 billion, breaking the record for the highest summer box office in Chinese film history. There are still 14 days left until the end of the summer season.

What is different from the past is that this year Hollywood movies finally made it into the summer season, breaking the old practice of giving way to imported films during the "domestic film protection month" from June to August each year. However, these films were unexpectedly "killed" by Chinese domestic films.

Even super IPs like Transformers and Mission Impossible have lost their glory, and their box office revenues are less than a fraction of the popular domestic films. Among them, Mission Impossible 7 was released in mainland China on July 14, and the final mainland box office is expected to be no more than 350 million yuan (currently 346 million yuan).

Looking at the top 10 of the list, only two foreign films, "The Meg 2: Abyss" and "Transformers: Power Rangers", made the list, ranking seventh and eighth.
