Akira Toriyama's "SAND LAND" animated film official poster featuring Sugita Tomokazu and others

In addition to Akira Toriyama's well-known representative works such as "Dragon Ball" and "Arale", his famous short story "SAND LAND" will also be made into an animated film, which is scheduled to be released on August 18. The official poster was officially announced today, June 6. Otsuka Akio, Chafurin, Sugita Tomokazu and others will appear in additional appearances, so stay tuned.

"SAND LAND" is a short comic work published by Akira Toriyama in 2000 after the completion of "Dragon Ball". The story tells that in the water-scarce desert world, humans and monsters coexist. The demon prince Beelzebub and the human sheriff Rao join forces and embark on a journey to find the "Fountain of Fantasy" somewhere in the desert.

The animated film "SAND LAND" will be jointly produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Animation and ANIMA, directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima, with Hiroshi Shinano as the advisor, screenwriter Hayashi Mori, and music by Yugo Kanno; the voice actors who have been confirmed include Mutshin Tamura, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Joe, Satoshi Tsuruoka, Nobuo Tobita, etc.
