The new Batman spin-off "Penguin" is expected to be released in 2024

Today (April 13), HBO officially released the trailer for The Penguin, a spin-off of The Batman. The show is currently being filmed and is scheduled to be released on Max next year. Colin Farrell returns to play the Penguin, and Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, Heart of Love) plays Sofia Falcone, the daughter of the villain Carmine Falcone played by John Turturro in The Batman. She will fight with the Penguin for control of Gotham City.

Craig Zobel (East Side Nightmares, Westworld) directed the first two episodes and served as executive producer. Lauren LeFrantz (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Pulse) wrote and operated the series, while Farrell, film director Matt Reeves, and producer Dylan Clark also served as executive producers. The series tells the story of the rise of Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, the Penguin, in the underworld of Gotham City.
