Star Wars: Alien Squad will end its third season in 2024

Star Wars Alien Squad lead writer Jenifer Corbett announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023 that Clone Squad 99 will return for the final time next year.

"The story isn't over yet... The Peculiar Squad will be back for a third and final season," she said. Executive producers Brad Rau and Anthena Portillo also attended the panel.

Created by David Filoni, this animated series follows a group of elite clones who are genetically mutated in the aftermath of the Clone Wars, Order 66, and the rise of the Empire. The first season aired in 2021 and consisted of 16 episodes. The second season premiered on January 4, 2023.

The panel exclusively premiered some footage from Season 3, including Emperor Palpatine (voiced by Ian McDiarmid) meeting with Dr. Royce Hemlock, head of the Imperial cloning program, at Mount Tantis. “It is of vital importance to ensure the safety of this facility,” Palpatine said in the clip, which may be related to his resurrection through clones in The Rise of Skywalker.

In the season 2 finale, Omega was captured. But in a new trailer, Omega assures Crosshair: "I will not give up on you. You are my brother." There are also many action scenes and huge monsters.

The third season of "Star Wars: Alien Squad" is expected to air in 2024 and will be available on the Disney+ streaming platform.
