Noah Schnapp, the actor who plays Will in "Stranger Things", revealed that the fifth season of "Stranger Things" will start filming in May this year. The fifth season is also the final season of "Stranger Things" and is expected to be broadcast on Netflix in 2024. Director Ross Duffer told Netflix's Tudum site: "We were blown away by the success of the first season, and then we knew we needed to build a bigger world, a world that would continue. That meant preparing for the second season included writing down every idea the writers could think of on a whiteboard. But there were just too many ideas - five or even 10 times more than we needed. So for the fifth season, we're going to take a lot of the ideas from the second season and bring it to a big finale." Stranger Things season 2 features Will heavily (after a cameo in season 1), focusing on his recovery after being trapped in the Upside Down for so long by the Heart Eater, and his long-standing connection with the creature. In addition, season 2 further explores Eleven's mysterious past - which was expanded upon in season 4, specifically her time raised as an experimental project at Hawkins Lab. |
