Accurate information will be announced from this account at the appropriate time."

The announcement was made in response to previous rumors about which animation studio would produce the third season of the anime. Earlier this month, an account claiming to be a leaker tweeted that the third season of One Punch Man would be produced by MAPPA, which subsequently gained a lot of attention. However, the account has now been frozen and the tweet has been deleted.

One Punch Man Season 1 was produced by Madhouse and aired in October 2015. Season 2 aired in April 2019 and was produced by JC Staff. There has been no official confirmation of any changes to the production company.
