Kakuji Fujita, the author of the manga Tokugawa no Ape, recently announced that he will be drawing the manga Eternal Wine ~from the 1700s~ based on Narita Ryogo's light novel Eternal Wine. The manga has begun serialization on the DMM Books website as a DMM Gigatoon Studio webtoon. The comic is set in an 18th century Italian town called Lotto Valentino. The story will revolve around alchemy apprentice Huey Laforet, who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy by a masked serial killer known as "The Mask Maker" that terrorizes the town. Ryogo Narita, the author of Durarara!, began serializing the light novel The Immortal's Wine in 2003, with Katsumi Enoki responsible for the illustrations. The final volume of the novel, the 22nd volume, 1935, was released in August 2016. The anime of the same name adapted from the novel was broadcast in 2007. |
