Star Wars spin-off Obi-Wan releases official trailer

Star Wars spin-off Obi-Wan releases official trailer

May 4th, local time in North America, is Star Wars Day, and Disney released the official trailer for the Star Wars spin-off series Obi-Wan on this day. The previous trailer mainly showed the exiled Obi-Wan and the Inquisitor responsible for hunting down Jedi Knights, and today's new trailer gives us a glimpse of Darth Vader (and his heavy breathing).

Trailer:

Hayden Christensen will return to play Darth Vader, marking the first time we've seen Hayden and Ewan McGregor face off on screen since Star Wars 3: Revenge of the Sith.

McGregor previously said that he felt "spine tingling" watching Christensen play Darth Vader. Meanwhile, Christensen said that it was a bit "surreal" to reprise the role 17 years later, but it was also "natural" and that he watched the entire animated series to prepare for the role.

"Obi-Wan" takes place ten years after "Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and will premiere on Disney+ on May 27, with the first two episodes airing.

<<:  Johnny Depp was originally scheduled to star in "Pirates of the Caribbean 6" with a salary of $22.5 million

>>:  The May Day box office sales reached 295 million yuan, and "I Really Hate Long-Distance Relationships" topped the list
