iQIYI membership price increase: 9%-20%; claims low prices have affected the healthy development of the industry

Today (December 15), iQiyi VIP Member Weibo announced that the subscription price of Gold VIP Member will be updated from 0:00 on December 16. The price of the annual card remains unchanged, and the increase is mainly for the monthly and quarterly cards, with an increase of 9%-20%. At the same time, iQiyi will provide users who have previously purchased and have not yet canceled the aforementioned continuous monthly/quarterly/annual services with a one-year service at the original price.

Specifically:

The price of iQiyi Gold VIP membership's continuous monthly subscription has increased from 19 yuan/month to 22 yuan/month, and the price of ordinary membership has increased from 25 yuan/month to 30 yuan/month.

The price of the continuous quarterly package has increased from 58 yuan/month to 63 yuan/month, and the ordinary package price has increased from 68 yuan/month to 78 yuan/month.

The annual subscription fee remains unchanged.

iQiyi responded: "The membership subscription price of the video platform has always been low, and this phenomenon has affected the healthy development of the industry. In order to establish a more benign industry ecosystem, reward excellent content producers, and ultimately provide members with more and better content, we have decided to adjust the membership price."
