The lead actor of "Cobra" wants to star in "One Piece": I am willing to play a minor role

"Cobra" star Jacob Bertrand said he is a big fan of Netflix's live-action version of "One Piece" and is willing to play any role.

"Man, I'd really do anything. I could be a background guy getting blown off a boat (laughs). I really don't care," Bertrand said. "That show is awesome. I grew up watching anime - especially Naruto and One Piece. And, you know, it was always a little weird to watch anime before, and now it's more mainstream. I'm like, you know what? In my time, you were ostracized. We were weirdos, and we worked so hard for this."

"Now this is pretty cool, and I'm glad more people are into it. I've turned a lot of my friends into anime fans now that I can watch shows together. Yeah, I would love to be in any role in One Piece. That cast is pretty cool. I've seen other casts before and they were really terrible, total assholes. But the cast of One Piece, they're genuinely good people. They have big hearts."

The actor also said that he's "been telling the writers for years to do a tournament chapter," and we might get to see one in Cobra Season 6, Part 2. The second half of the season focuses on the World Tournament, the ultimate karate tournament, and the stakes are higher than ever.

The second part of Cobra Season 6 will be available on Netflix on November 15. The second season of One Piece is currently in production.
