"Game of Thrones" new prequel "Dragon" begins production to tell the story of the Targaryen family

According to foreign media The Verge, HBO CEO Casey Bloys announced at the HBO Max event that a new spin-off of "Game of Thrones" "House of the Dragon" will begin production. At the same time, the previously announced spin-off "The Origin of the White Walkers and the Story of the Starks" was canceled due to unsatisfactory pilot results.

It is reported that the new spin-off series "House of the Dragon" will tell the story of the Targaryen family of "Dragon Mother". The series will be co-produced by the original author George R. Martin and Ryan Condall (screenwriter of "Rampage"), and will be adapted from Martin's "Blood and Fire" published in 2019, focusing on the Targaryen family settled on Dragonstone. The story is based on the ancestor of Dragon Mother, the founder of the Iron Throne, Aegon the Conqueror, and tells the story of several generations of Targaryens fighting to keep this iconic throne.

At present, the start time of the new spin-off series of "Game of Thrones" "House of the Dragon" has not been announced and it will be launched on HBO MAX next year.
