The flames that are not in the new stills of "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw"

Dwayne Johnson posted a new still from "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw" on Instagram today. In the film, Idris Elba plays the "new human" super villain Brixton ("Suicide Squad 2", "Pacific Rim"), holding a powerful flamethrower. The black and white still looks very cool.

"Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw" is the first spin-off film in the "Fast & Furious" series. The story is centered on Luke Hobbs, a Diplomatic Security Service agent played by Dwayne Johnson, and Deckard Shaw, a former MI6 agent (who later became a mercenary killer) played by Jason Statham. Vanessa Kirby (who played the White Widow in "Mission Impossible 6") plays an agent of the British Security Service and Shaw's sister.

Brixton (Idris Elba), an anarchist who has been genetically enhanced through high technology, controls an unknown biological weapon that may change the fate of mankind forever, and also defeats a bold, excellent and maverick MI6 agent (Vanessa Kirby, who has starred in "The Crown")-she happens to be Shaw's sister. In order to bring down the only enemy in the world that may be more powerful than them, these two sworn enemies have to join forces.

The first spin-off film in the "Fast & Furious" series, "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw", is expected to be released in North America on August 2, 2019.
