Nolan praises Godzilla 1.0 as a 'remarkable' film

Nolan praised Godzilla 1.0 as a "terrific" film.

He said: "It's an exciting, beautifully made film with a very fascinating mechanic. The depth of the characters and the sense of history are really great and I really appreciate that."

At the just-concluded Oscars ceremony, this Japanese film won the 96th Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, making history by becoming the first Japanese film in film history to win the Visual Effects Award.

Before winning the award, Godzilla 1.0 grossed $106 million worldwide.
