Adult Swim previously released a trailer for the in-progress Rick and Morty Japanese Comic, which will be directed by Takashi Sano, the director of Tower of God, and will consist of 10 episodes. Recently, Adult Swim officially released a new "sneak peek" trailer on its YouTube channel. In this preview video, we can see that Morty does not appear. Instead, Summer is in command, guiding Rick to drive the spaceship through the twisted space. However, things soon changed. Many Ricks from different universes suddenly appeared in the distorted space. They were collectively sailing in the opposite direction of the protagonist Rick. This seemed to represent that Rick would have to face the test of Rickcity again. Although the trailer did not reveal more content, Adult Swim confirmed that Japanese voice actors Yohei Tadano (who played Rick) and Keisuke Chiba (who played Morty), who had previously participated in the production of "Rick and Morty", will return as the titular duo sometime in 2024. Combined with the degree of completion in this preview trailer, it may indicate that "Rick and Morty: Japanese Anime Version" will be launched in 2024. |
