The Last of Us Season 2 to air in 2025

According to the trailer released by HBO, the second season of the live-action series "The Last of Us" adapted from the game is scheduled to be broadcast in 2025.

Recently, producer Craig Mazin confirmed that the second season, which was previously suspended due to the Writers Guild of America strike, will resume production on February 12, 2024.

The first season of The Last of Us consists of 9 episodes, covering the events of The Last of Us 1 and its expansion pack Left Behind. The first season was a huge success, not only with great reviews, but also one of the most watched series in HBO's history, and received 24 Emmy nominations.

Just two and a half weeks after the first season aired, HBO announced the renewal of Season 2. Last year, Mazin said that the second season would not cover all the plots of The Last of Us 2, and the series might have 3-5 seasons.
