The third trailer of the anime adaptation "His Highness the Escape Master" was released and will be broadcast on July 6

The manga work "His Highness the Master of Escape" created by Yusei Matsui was originally serialized in Shueisha's weekly manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Jump" from January 25, 2021. It won the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award and the current single volume has been published to 15 volumes.

Recently, the official released the third promotional PV of the animated adaptation of the same name, and announced that it will officially start broadcasting on July 6, 2024.

It is understood that the animation will be produced by CloverWorks, directed by Yuta Yamazaki, character design and general animation director Yasushi Nishitani, and series composition by Yoshiko Tomita. In terms of voice actors, Maki Yuukawa plays the protagonist Hojo Tokiyuki, Yuichi Nakamura plays the head of the Shinano Province Suwa Taisha family Suwa Yorishige, Yano Hinaki voices the witch Shizuku of Suwa Taisha, Mari Hino plays Kojiro, Sayumi Suzushiro plays Ayako, Aoi Yuuki plays Kazama Genban, and Kikunosuke Totani plays Fubuki.

It is understood that the original story of "His Highness the Escape Master" is set in 1333 AD. The Kamakura Shogunate, which relied on samurai as the foundation of Japan's rule, was destroyed by the rebellion of the trusted shogunate retainer Ashikaga Takauji. Hojo Tokiyuki, the legitimate heir of the shogunate, who lost everything and was thrown into the abyss of despair, escaped from the burning Kamakura under the guidance of Suwa Yorishige, a priest who claimed to be God. After escaping, he arrived at Suwa, met a reliable partner, and accumulated strength to retake Kamakura.
