Legendary Pictures' Street Fighter live-action movie to change director due to release conflict

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the original directors of the live-action "Street Fighter" movie, Danny Phillip and Michael Phillip, will withdraw from the production of the film. Legendary Pictures and Capcom are looking for new directors to shoot the live-action "Street Fighter" movie. Part of the reason for the two's withdrawal is schedule conflicts.

In April 2023, Danny and Michael Philip got the chance to direct the live-action Street Fighter movie. At that time, the two became famous for their RackaRacka YouTube channel and took advantage of the opportunity to shoot their first movie Respond to Me, which was distributed by A24 and achieved both word-of-mouth and commercial success. Now their schedule conflicts are also because they are about to cooperate with A24 to shoot a new movie called Bring Her Back, which is expected to start shooting before the end of this month.
