The epic battle continues! Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse series returns with a new adventure following the explosive showdown in Godzilla vs. Kong; the almighty Kong and the terrifying Godzilla are about to join forces to fight against a huge undiscovered threat hidden in our world, which not only challenges their living space, but also threatens the survival of mankind. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will delve into the history and origins of these titanic beasts, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and other secret places, while uncovering the mythical battles that shaped these extraordinary creatures and forever linked them to mankind.

Director Adam Wingold returns to direct, with Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs. Kong, House of Night), Brian Tyree Henry (Godzilla vs. Kong, Bullet Train), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion, Beauty and the Beast), Carrie Hottle (Godzilla vs. Kong), Alex Fiennes (Batman, Cash Heist, Nuke), and Fala Chen (The Dark Knight, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).

The screenplay was written by Terry Rossio (Godzilla vs. Kong, Pirate Bay), Simon Barrett (You're Next), and Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight), based on an original story by Terry Rossio, Adam Wingold, and Simon Barrett, and based on the character Godzilla owned and created by Toho Co., Ltd. The film was produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric MacLeod, Thomas Stull, Jon Jashni, and Brian Rogers. Executive producers were Wingold, Jane Conroy, Jay Ashfield, Yoshimitsu Sakano, and Kenji Okudaira.

Director Adam Wingold once again collaborated with cinematographer Ben Sereson (Godzilla vs. Kong, World War II), production designer Tom Hammerk (Godzilla vs. Kong, Frightening X-Files, The Visitor), editor Josh Schaeffer (Godzilla vs. Kong, Queen of Scoundrels), and costume designer Emily Sereson (The Invisible Man, Top of the Lake). The music was composed by Tom Holkenborg (Godzilla vs. Kong, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Antonio Di Iorio (additional music for Godzilla vs. Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog films).

Godzilla vs. Kong 2 is jointly produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, produced by Legendary Pictures, and directed by Adam Wingold. The film will be distributed globally by Warner Bros. Pictures, distributed in Japan by Toho Co., Ltd., and distributed in mainland China by Legendary East.

"Godzilla vs. Kong 2" is expected to be released in April 2024.
