The Flash standalone movie is still a while away from hitting the big screen, but attendees at CinemaCon got to see one of the first previews of the film on Tuesday night, and the reaction was very positive. According to GameSpot senior editor Chris Hayner, The Flash movie "met and exceeded audience expectations." Eric Goldman, editor-in-chief of the Fandom website, was also very satisfied with the film, especially praising its originality. According to him, The Flash has some wonderful moments that he has never seen in a million other superhero movies before. Critic Erik Davis of Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango called The Flash "the best ever" and said he was "moved to tears" by the finale. Heroic Hollywood editor Umberto Gonzalez declared that, aside from Nolan's The Dark Knight, "this is the greatest DC movie of the past 30 years," and said it "breaks incredible new ground." Many other overseas film media gave the film good reviews, but some also criticized it. Film journalist Jeff Sneider said that he liked the early parts of the film, but felt that the film gradually fell apart as the plot progressed. The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 16. |
