"Waiting in the Midsummer" is an animation produced by JCSTAFF, which was first broadcast in January 2012. It is also the third work in the "Hot Sky Encounter" series, telling the story of a boy named Kirishima Kaito and his friends who plan to shoot a movie in the three months of summer, and the story between him and his senior schoolmate Takatsuki Ikko, who he hopes will become the heroine. The series is written by Kuroda Yosuke, the illustrator Hane Taraku is responsible for the original character design, and the director is Nagai Ryuyuki. It has been exactly ten years since the anime was aired. Today (July 15), the official Twitter account of Komoro City in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, where the anime was filmed, released a picture to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the anime. The picture was jointly completed by illustrators Masayoshi Tanaka, JCSTAFF and Ayu Kawamoto. The two illustrations are photos of the characters at the same location ten years ago and ten years later.
