Netflix's original animation "Onmyoji" will exclusively release the main character setting map this year

Netflix announced at the AnimeJapan 2023 event on March 25 that the classic fantasy novel "Onmyoji" based on the work of Baku Yumemakura will be made into an animation for the first time, which is scheduled to be released exclusively in 2023. At the same time, the production lineup and the setting pictures of the two protagonists were announced.

"Onmyoji" tells the story of Abe Haruaki, the most famous legendary "exorcist" in Japanese history. In Heian-kyō, Japan, where ghosts and gods are everywhere, under the bizarre and amazing imagination of Master Yumemakura Baku, a moving offline story of uprising against gods and ghosts unfolds.

The two protagonists of Onmyoji, Abe Haruaki and Minamoto Hiromasa, partnered up in the original work and embarked on a bizarre adventure together. The director of this work is Aomi Yamamoto, and the screenwriters are Natsu Hashimoto and Yuko Kato. Please stay tuned for more follow-up news.
