Netflix Marvel series coming to Disney+ in Canada

Netflix Marvel series coming to Disney+ in Canada

With all of Netflix's Marvel TV shows set to return to Disney, the big question ahead of them is whether they'll eventually make their way to the Disney+ streaming platform. Unsurprisingly, the answer is "yes."

Following up on an initial report from Mobile Syrup, Engadget has confirmed that Netflix's Marvel series will be available on Disney+ in Canada starting March 16, which lines up with previous reports that the series would leave Netflix on March 1. Between Spider-Man: No Homecoming and the Hawkeye series, fans of The Defenders have plenty of reasons to wonder if and when Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the rest of the gang will make their way to Disney's own streaming service, but it's unclear if their presence on Disney+ in Canada is a sign of more developments to come.

It's also unclear if Disney intends to treat former Netflix Marvel shows the same way in all regions where Disney+ is currently available, especially considering the studio still has a number of Marvel shows on the Hulu streaming platform, including M.O.D.O.K., Hellraiser, and The Runaways. Disney+ in Canada is also home to its Star content hub, which currently has access to a lot of other established shows, which could also be why it's only available in Canada, while other countries may have different options.
