Japanese media: Demon Slayer IP has amazing revenue and the product market size will reach 900 billion yen

According to Japanese media Toyo Keizai, the market size of Demon Slayer IP products will reach 900 billion yen, and the original manga alone brought 44 billion yen in revenue to the IP party in 2020. In addition, IP-derived light novels earned 2.8 billion yen, while Blu-ray DVDs earned 800 million yen and 500 million yen in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train earned 51.5 billion yen from the movie distribution alone, and the subsequent Blu-ray DVD distribution brought another 10 billion yen in revenue.

According to Toyo Keizai's estimates, the total market size of various products linked to IP characters, from food to toys, will reach 900 billion yen.
